Our Graduate Management Development Programme
As the only City & Guilds/ILM Accredited Graduate Programme in Ireland, the Lidl Graduate Management Development Programme is a unique programme that is tailored for each graduate. Our exciting 18-month programme consists of several modules which will gives graduates a full understanding of our business. Whilst on the programme they receive a bespoke training plan designed around their career path and current skills. They spend some time in our stores and warehouses to gain a thorough understanding of the key business areas before entering their chosen department. The programme gives them the opportunity to enjoy both personal and professional development through on-the-job training and a blended learning approach.
Applications for our graduate programme open in early September each year.
Essential Skills and Training
We know that as a graduate joining the business you won’t have all the answers and that’s OK with us. To help our graduates settle in, we have developed and perfected top class training programmes to teach you everything you need to know about working for Lidl.
Throughout your training you will be supported by trainers at every level of the business. They will assist you through solid hands on experience and formal training sessions on key topics relevant to your new role. As well as helping you learn the business from the ground up our training programme is designed to help you expand and develop your problem solving and business management skills.

Essential Qualifications
· An expected or attained 2.1 Honours Level 8 degree
· Full driver’s license is required
· Flexibility to travel or relocate within Ireland is required
· Motivation and drive
· Strong personal skills
· Work experience or experience abroad
· German is an advantage but not a necessity

We offer a competitive graduate salary of €36,400.

Having time off to spend however you wish is essential for your physical and mental wellbeing; to allow for relaxation and to catch up with things outside the workplace. At Lidl, we provide up to 34 days paid annual leave each year (pro rata, including Bank Holidays).
All employees are entitled to join the Lidl Pension Scheme after a qualifying period. This benefit is provided by the company allowing you to save for your retirement.
From time to time we all unforunately fall ill. In order to reduce the burden when this occurs, Lidl generously provides 20 days paid sick leave (after 6 months of service). The necessary medical certificates may be required depending on the length of leave taken.

We provide a generous remuneration top up for maternity and adoption leave to encourage new mothers to take that time out to bond with thei new arival. Statutory leave allows fathers to take 2 weeks leave to enjoy the arrival of their newborn or newly adopted child. At Lidl, we offer employees a generous remuneration top up to supplement this leave.
Using the Cycle to Work scheme, Lidl can help you attain a brand-new bike and safety equipment worth up to £1,000 of tax relief after a qualifying period of service. You can also utilise a salary sacrifice arrangement to pay for the bike over a 12-month period so that you can save up to 50% of the retail price.
Hosting sports & social events throughout Ireland, this club presents many opportunities to meet your colleagues through sport and become part of teams competing both internally and externally. There are annual trips abroad that are a huge success and plenty of social events throughout the year.
